About Richard
I have been teaching Spanish at the high school level since 2019. I received my credential in Spanish in 2018 from Long Beach State University, which emphasized a comprehensible input approach, meaning that students acquire language through meaningful messages in the Target language. Having been teaching Spanish for a number of years now, there are many resources at my fingertips with which I can tutor students in the language. I love doing “movie talks”, or talking about short films in comprehensible Spanish, using music (including original songs), and asking personalized questions to get students using the language quickly! Parents of my students frequently say that they hear their children talking and singing in Spanish within just a few weeks of taking my classes. I’d love to discuss your tutoring needs to see if we would be a good fit!
