About Jennifer
Having tutored high school and undergraduate students for the past six years, I have developed a system to assist my students in the art of learning. I use techniques that follow Bloom's Taxonomy to ensure my students develop their critical thinking skills for the material they are learning.
I thoroughly enjoy helping my students take advantage of their learning styles to become stronger learners.
During my undergraduate studies, I was a peer tutor and received monthly training for practical approaches to learning. After undergrad, I was a high school/middle school math teacher for the Peace Corps in Guinea, West Africa. This experience enhanced my teaching ability to focus on mastering any material without relying on sole memorization. Preceding the Peace Corps, I was a teaching fellow for the Colorado Rocky Mountain school, where I tutored high school students in Algebra, Algebra 2, Calculus, Spanish, and Chemistry.
