About Marie
As a classroom teacher, I learned the key to learning was relationship - that sacred space the classroom - can create a lasting impact when it is done as a "we". Our shared commitment and dedication to growth only makes us both better.
I have something to give to my students and I appreciate the opportunity to do that one on one. However, I am also grateful for the reciprocity and what I will gain from each of them.
I LOVE meeting new people and helping with Spanish to English language or English to Spanish language has been my favorite way to create new relationships.
I have 20 years of educational experience both locally and internationally. My goal is to make my students feel safe and supported with structured sessions that will entertain, engage and challenge.

I prefer to send an email with questions about learning styles, interests and goals in order to prep for our first meeting.
Our first meeting will involve some basic assessments of needs and knowledge. Then we will begin with a lesson -based on the earlier email responses.
There is a series of individual time - be it reading, writing or listening - a shared experience - such as I do, we do, you do around a topic and always time to converse, read and share together.
Then - there is follow up - a link to listen or watch, something to read or practice suggestions.
