About Fabia
I am multilingual (Spanish, French, Italian, and English), and I am a linguist and phonetician, so I specialize in pronunciation.
My B.A. is in Symbolic Systems and Human Languages is from UC Berkeley, and my Master's in Education is from Harvard University.
My life is my languages; my languages are my life. I help my students become world travelers, and not just tourists.
My first formal foreign language tutoring was for a high school student in Boston who was struggling in his French class, while I was a graduate student at Harvard. I became a full-time language tutor in 2011.
I presented my Master's thesis on multilingualism after a lifelong multilingual existence. Since I have learned, studied, and lived in all of my languages, my use of these languages is both experiential and academic. I studied Linguistics and took advanced exams in all of my languages.

We always begin with phonetics, to learn to pronounce basic vocabulary clearly.
My students range in age from 8 to 88, and they live, work, and study all over the world.
Make all the linguistic and cultural mistakes with me! We will make sure you understand what went wrong and reinforce the correct form.
A recent student wished to give a speech in Italian at his daughter's wedding there, and the outcome was a complete success. Some of my star students have been elected to serve in government, have been selected for roles in films and plays, and have received outstanding grades/awards using the language we perfected together.

Details
A language lesson with me that involves correction and grammar is $55, but a conversation lesson is only $50. For both, the student is welcome to set the topics, but I also provide guidance based on the student's interests, strengths, weaknesses, and learning gaps.
