About William

Certifications: Bachelor's of Arts with foreign languages as a concentration. Double majored in French/Spanish and graduated summa cum laude.

I tutored Spanish lessons to children, highschool students, and adults for my university. I have also taught English as second language to native Spanish speakers and did so on regular basis for 2 years.

I love to help students find joy in second language acquisition and overcome fears related to language learning.

I began teaching as an assistant to an English as a second language program for native Spanish speakers. I fell in love with the teaching process and began to tutor Spanish shortly thereafter.

I have a bachelor's degree in foreign languages from East Tennessee State University where I double majored in French/Spanish. I taught Spanish and English for the university as part of my work requirments.

About the lesson

I like to begin with a causal conversation pertaining to current knowledge level and the target language. Afterwards I discuss with the student various learning styles and what works best for them. I will then begin to build, with the student/parent, a study plan to reach target goals.

I have instructed children as young as 3, teenagers, and adults.

I would advise a student to seek an instructor who has both formal education and real life expiences when seeking someone to tutor languages.
