About Chandler

I enjoy deconstructing and simplifying otherwise complex concepts in order to help students more fully understand and learn them. Language learning can be distressing and confusing. To combat this I aim to bring order to the chaos within the minds of the students I tutor. I've been a tutor for approximately four years in various environments including universities, community colleges, private institutions, and online.

I am fully certified (level 3) through the CRLA's (College Reading and Learning Association) International Tutor Training Program.

I've had a great desire to tutor since I started my life as a university student back in 2013. I started by being a volunteer and paid tutor for my university and a couple different private institutions.

I am an undergraduate student studying Spanish and Russian. I will earn my Bachelor's Degree in Spanish & Russian on December 11, 2021.

About the lesson

I ask many open-ended questions to get a good sense about where the student is.

Adults and teenagers.

The more specific and prepared you can be, the better. I recommend thinking about how you can articulate what is causing you trouble, and to bring specific things you can show and work through together with the tutor.

Try to work through incorrect answers to find a possible remedy, then bring that to your tutoring session.

A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
What specifically is causing me trouble? (think conjugations, declensions, grammar concepts, vocabulary, sentence structure, etc.)

My hourly rate is $16.00 per hour.

Cancellations and no-shows made less than two hours before the scheduled meeting time will be invoiced the $8.00 cancellation/no-show fee.
