About Meionkca
I provide language instruction for students who are interested in learning how to read, write, speak, and understand Spanish.
I have taught Spanish levels 1 and 2 for 18 years in private and public schools. During my tenure in St. James Parish, I taught Spanish online for 3 years while maintaining class loads on the main high school campus. Currently, I am a virtual middle school Spanish teacher at University View Academy.
Since 2011, I have taken students abroad to Costa Rica, England, France, Spain, Greece, and Italy. It is important to me that all students have an opportunity to experience being immersed in other cultures. After graduation, many of my students have decided to major and minor in Spanish, and I have one former student who will major in Russian. When you prepare and teach a rigorous, but relevant curriculum you will empower your students to believe they can become bilingual or multilingual citizens.
