About Helen

I am a native Spanish speaker. I was the best student in high school in love with literature and languages.

I have translated several books from English to Spanish and I enjoy teaching students to learn a new language.

The best time in a person's life to learn a language is when they are very young because the muscles in their mouth and face have not yet developed, so they are able to pronounce words in a foreign language without hindrance by the muscles, thus they do not develop an "accent."

When years ago I taught pre-schoolers.

I was a pre-school teacher, as well as a translator of books.

About the lesson

I usually would like a initial conversation with the student (and/or their parents) to have a full picture of their goals, needs and level of proficiency. Once we know what the goals are, together we can establish a plan of action.

Students of all ages and level of proficiency.

It takes two to Tango. You could have the best teacher in the world but if you are not motivated, you will learn little. The opposite applies as well. You could be the most motivated student, but if you have a poor teacher, you will not achieve your goals.

When I completed the translation of "The Fountainhead" by Ayn Rand.

A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
Be honest and find out what are your goals, what you want accomplish and why. If you understand this, measuring your progress will be quite easy.
