About Karen

I'm a native Spanish speaker with 20 years of teaching experience. I love teaching and sharing my culture and knowledge.

I think that getting students to practice and apply what they learn, is the best way to learn a new language. Learning about culture is also important. There are many countries that have Spanish language as first or second official language. Most people have the misconception that Spanish is only spoken in Mexico. Getting to expand our culture awareness, makes you want to love the new language.

I started teaching when I was 16 years as a Kindergarten teacher in my hometown in Colombia. I started College at the same time! HAven't stopped since then!!

I have a Bachelors of Arts in Modern Languages major in Spanish and English language.

I have been teaching for over 20 years, from little kids to Adults.
