About Lydia

I love to help people of all ages learn. I have taken several Spanish classes and have also studied it in my own. My Spanish is not necessarily fluent, but it is at least at a level of high intermediate to advanced. English is my native language. I also am a beginner in the French language. I have volunteered in a Children's Museum and in an assisted living facility, so my teaching is available for people of all ages. I have been tutoring spanish through school for several years.

I enjoy helping people in general, but helping others learn and grow is my specialty. Being able to improve language skills is not just a hobby, it's a passion of mine.

I started in high-school as I had taken many spanish courses at a young age. In most cases, it was just a colleague and I was to help with obtaining better grades. Later, though, I started to help more and more people, not just throughh school.

As mentioned in my bio, I have volunteered at various places that give me experience as a tutor in Spanish and English. For many years, I have tutored fellow colleagues to help get Spanish grades up and also for a personal desire to learn.

About the lesson

I will ask for their goals in learning a language, and their preferred method of learning. In almost all cases, learning through listening and practicing speech is the most efficient and effective way to understand Spanish.

I have worked with young children, the elderly, and anyone and everyone in between.
