About Miriam
I’m a a Spanish native speaker, born in the USA but raised in Mexico City. I love the Spanish language and I can teach you not only the academic language but the day to day ( slang, coloquialisms, etc.).
I have 2 years experience as a language teacher primarily with children but I am happy to work with adults as well.
I have always been interested in teaching, since I could remember I used to help my friends and cousins understands school lessons and study for exams. Later in I got involved with language lessons through a family friend that invited me to join her classes as a teacher.
I am about to enter a graduate program in Education and I have 2 years experience as a language teacher.

About the lesson

All languages in which the lesson is available :
English
The first one or two lessons I see what’re the student is in regards to level. Determine what he knows and what we need to work on.
Mid the student is completely new to the language we start with tha basics. Numbers, colors, things, places, etc.
I have mostly worked with young children ages 4-11.
My advice would be look for someone who you feel comfortable with, learning is partly about the knowledge of the teacher but especially in private lessons it’s about the teacher student relationship.
A recent proud moment for me was one a student that was having trouble in school (with languages) came to me and showed me she had gotten an A in her most recent test.
A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
Students should think about what they are expecting out of the class and what their specific need are.
