About Ian

I LOVE Spanish and I LOVE teaching. I believe that communication is important because it is how we learn and grow. I will provide you with the necessary skills to communicate, teach, and learn more about the world around you.

I provide excellent service my customizing my sessions to my students. I am a great listener, I am very patient, and I am determined to help my students attain their desired outcomes.

I realized that I enjoyed teaching while working as an IT Support Specialist. In that position, I instructed people who were unfamiliar with computer software on tips and tricks to make the process easier for them. When my students began to understand, it always brought me great joy.

In May of 2021, I received an Associates Degree in Spanish from MiraCosta College.

In December of 2023, I earned my baccalaureate in Spanish at Oregon State University.

I am now working toward my masters degree in educational leadership.

About the lesson

I like to spend the first 5-10 minutes of our first session talking with my student and finding out their motivation for seeking tutoring. Then, it is important to access my their current skill level, in comparison with where they would like to be.

I have worked with students from middle school age through university students and I am happy to work with all skill levels.

Ask questions to make sure you get along and then book the appointment. Sometimes fear holds us back from success. You have come this far, so just book the appointment and get ready for success!
