My first teaching experience was as a volunteer, giving English lessons to refugees! I learned that I love working with people, so I took steps to become more involved in the field, eventually becoming a certified English teacher to Costa Rican (Spanish-speaking) students.
I have an undergraduate minor in Spanish, and years of living and working (in the U.S. and abroad) with Spanish speakers.
I am certified to teach English as a Foreign Language, a program through which I was introduced to many concepts and skills relevant to language teaching.
