About Julia
My name is Julia, and I am a rising Sophomore at St. Joseph's University. I am a Spanish-Secondary Education major. Throughout high school and my first year of college, I have helped many students with their Spanish from homework to test-prep. In addition, I have field experience from helping in the classroom at a Bilingual School this past year. Spanish is not my native language, but I am near fluent. I was President of the Spanish National Honors Society in High School.
I have also been tutoring math for several years now. In high school, I was captain of the Mathletes team and President of the National Math Honors Society (Mu Alpha Theta). With this position, I helped students grades 9-12 with walk-in tutoring visits, primarily Algebra 1, Algebra 2, and Geometry, as well as regularly scheduled sessions. In addition, I tutored a Sophomore for the duration of the summer my Junior year in Geometry Enrichment.
I was also the Valedictorian of my class - John W. Hallahan High School, 19'
I love tutoring because as someone studying education, I love to watch students succeed.
