At our first class, I like to talk to students to get to know them and their interests so that I can relate the Spanish classes to things that motivate them. Also, I like to give out a pretest, set up monthly attainable goals to make sure progress is monitored. And finally, I like to have fun as they learn a new language.
I have worked with students in the general education classroom and in special education ranging from kinder through college.
Make sure you interview your teacher first to make sure they're a good match to your needs and most importantly, make sure the teacher is a native Spanish speaker.

Miss Nahomi has been helping me understand Spanish. Not just the basics I could learn from a book, but with experiences and activities that I find fascinating and interesting. She is a great teacher who has helped me begin to feel confident about conversing in Spanish!
I think she is great, super easy and smooth
