About Ann
I have worked with both children and adults in helping them learn Spanish (for English speakers) and English (for Spanish speakers. Having lived in Peru and traveled throughout Latin American for pleasure and for work, I have a very good command of the language. People mistake me for a native!
I love to help students with Spanish and see the "lights go on" when they understand a concepts.
When I returned from living abroad, a variety people started asking me to help them with Spanish, and also I lived in East San Jose and tutored many Spanish-speaking families in learning English. I have always taught something in my work, most usually some form of technology, but have done so in both languages. I love to teach and see the "lights go on" for people.
I studied at one of the best universities in Latin America: Catholic University, Lima, Peru.
One of my work colleagues in Mexico City told me I speak Spanish better than any other gringo he knew. For my last job, I was lead translator and editor (English/Spanish). When I travel in Latin America, people mistake me for a local.
