About Kathryn
Total Tutoring is what you need to succeed. I am not a company or business. Just a person who wants to help students and learners reach their full potential! I have a well-rounded education with a variety of area in which I can help. I graduated high school a semester early and five semesters later, I graduated top 5% of my class at Grand Rapids Community College with an associate's degree focusing on psychology. I am now studying nursing at Western Michigan University. My goal is to give my all to your learning and growth as both a student and a person.

Through high school, I did very well in all my classes and often met with other students to help them. During my first two years of college, I arranged study groups for classes and lead discussions. I assisted middle school students with their instruments at their concert or during class in private groups to help them reach their musical potential! My associate's degree in general studies and psychology allows me to have a good understanding of many subjects to help the learner.

Generally, I would like to talk via email or text to get a basic idea of what you are hoping for with your tutoring experience. The first time we meet I would hope to talk to the parent or guardian and the student. I would introduce myself and go over any questions you had. I would make a list of goals and ask to see what you were currently learning so I can create a plan to best help. Having contact information for any teachers or instructors from school would also be helpful, as they can give me their input on how to best help the student succeed.
