About Elizabeth
. I am a May 2020 of Vanderbilt University, where I received a Bachelor’s Degree in Comprehensive Special Education and Cognitive Studies. Beginning in September, I will be working towards a Master’s in Social Work and a Master’s Degree in Moderate Special Education 5-12 at Boston University. As a graduate of Vanderbilt University, I possess a Tennessee Teaching Certification (Comprehensive Special Education).
My resume highlights my commitment to children and special education as a field, showcases my expertise in differentiating instruction, and demonstrate my communication and leadership skills. Being a highly adaptable and versatile educator, I have enjoyed the opportunities of teach diverse groups of students, including those with autism spectrum disorder, intellectual disabilities, physical challenges, visual impairments, speech and language impairments, and behavioral difficulties. I have had the ability to teach in elementary, middle, and high school settings across urban, suburban, and rural counties. These experiences have helped me blossom into a well-rounded and compassionate individual, who, basing all teaching on evidence-based practices, takes each student’s unique goals, needs, and interests into account, and creates effective lesson plans and activities to accommodate students while enforcing their development and enabling academic and social progress and success.
