About Brittany
Hi, I’m Brittany—a dedicated educator with a college degree in Education and a lifelong passion for helping children succeed. I’ve worked as a professional tutor for many years, served as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT), and taught both kindergarten and first grade in classroom settings. I also homeschool my daughter, who is now thriving in 6th grade. My experience spans across a wide range of learners, and I specialize in building strong foundations in reading, reading comprehension, spelling, and writing. I use a warm, individualized approach backed by proven strategies, including multisensory and behavior-informed techniques that support each child’s unique needs—especially those with attention challenges or who benefit from creative, flexible instruction. I believe that with the right support, every child can grow in confidence and love learning. I bring patience, creativity, and professionalism to every session, creating a space where students feel understood, motivated, and capable.

As a tutor, I believe every student learns best when they feel seen, supported, and engaged. My lessons are designed to build confidence and skills in reading, reading comprehension, spelling, and writing using evidence-based techniques and a creative, personalized approach.
A typical session with me includes warm-up activities to activate prior knowledge, targeted instruction based on individual goals, and hands-on practice through games, guided reading, or writing prompts. I use multisensory strategies, visual supports, and positive reinforcement to keep students motivated and focused.
What sets me apart is my ability to adapt in real time to a student’s needs, create lessons that match their interests, and support learners with ADHD, dyslexia, or other learning differences with patience and empathy.
These lessons are ideal for elementary and middle school students who need support building foundational literacy skills or who want to grow in confidence and creativity as readers and writers.
