About Nia
I've loved reading my whole life, and I'd love to read with you! Whether it's working on vocabulary, pronunciation, public speaking, finding books you love, or writing, I'm here to help! I'm currently pursuing a degree in education and I have experience working and assisting in elementary classrooms, middle school classrooms, and summer educational camps.
I've always enjoyed reading and I love reading aloud to others, or hearing them read to me. I hope this can be comfortable and a safe place for you to practice your reading, speaking, or writing!
I'm currently pursuing a degree in education, and in addition to current education courses, I have also taken many English courses, linguistics courses, and public speaking courses. In addition to that, I've worked as a nanny for several summers.

For meeting a new student, I'd love to set up an appointment with the student and an adult they feel comfortable with to get to know them better, and for them to get to know me. At that meeting, we can go over goals and weakenesses that need to be strengthened.
I have worked with elementary schoolers (ages 8-10) and middle schoolers (all grades).
