About Jennifer
Not only am I a highschool student and elementary school math tuor, I'm a ballerina. I dance about 20 hours a week at the Academy of Dance in San Luis Obispo and have been dancing since I was 3. I played the lead role of Clara in "The Nutcracker" in SLO and was accepted into the American Ballet School summer training program for ballet. With all the dance I do, I still manage to keep up my grades. I earned a 4.4 GPA in freshman year, am a year ahead in math, and am enrolled in honors and AP classes.
I really like kids so working with them is always a pleasure. Math is my favorite subject at school and has always been interesting to me. I tend to do very well in my math classes as well as enjoy it, hence helping others with it is something fun for me to do. Also, I love to help students be the best they can be and achieve their academic goals.
I first got into tutoring helping my younger brother with his math homework as well as my peers at school every now and then. I realized it was something and enjoy and want to pursue.
I'm currently a sophmore in high school and attend San Luis Obispo High School. I'm a driven and hardworking 15 year old looking to help support those who in need of math help. I take honors math classes and am a year ahead of grade level in this subject. I'm also enrolled in honors english and AP classes and earned a 4.4 GPA in freshman year. I personally love math and would love to assist younger kids with it. Additionally, I'm super outgoing and love kids. I help in a little kids dance class at my dance studio, babysit, and entertain my younger sibling and cousins.

I talk to the child a little bit before working with them to get to know them a little better. Kids' speech, choice of words, and things to talk about really help give an idea of the way they think about things. The last thing is I always want them to feel comfortable and make sure they can relate with me on something.
