About Carl Fredrik
I am a 23 year old Swedish student in Westchester doing a major in English at EF Tarrytown. Back in Sweden my major was in Marketing but I have been studying History and Geography my entire life, whom were my majors during high school back in Sweden. I have been tutoring since senior year in HS (2015) to all sorts of students, English speaking and non-English speaking students who were struggling with geography, history, Swedish, English or social science. Teaching is a great passion of mine and to help people not only learn but also to understand and appreciate whatever they're struggling with in school is what drives me. I'm patient, enthusiastic and I always set different learning paces to students. I have previously helped students get the highest scores and raise their grades from C/D to A/B. I was in the student body council in my old high school and we formed a program where seniors would help juniors in settling in etc. that's when my kid specifically asked for tutoring help and from there it kind of grew on me and I started offering my help to others as well.
I have been a tutor for students ranging from 12-18 years. I work as a tutor on the side of my studies when I was in HS and college.

First of all we set out goals. Goals are important for motivational purposes and to gradually see the improvement in a students academics. Then we will set out a schedule because continuity is also key. I prefer meeting outside of ones home, because the comfort of your own kitchen can be distracting. We'll use computers/and or paper and pencils.
Studenta who have some sort of learning disability (dyslexia), students who have a hard time focusing and also students who needs more encouragement.
Find someone close your age, it's easier to relate and to create a bond that way. Find someone with a flexible schedule whom you could reach out to last minute in case something would show up.
