About Aqua

Hey guys I'm Callie (or I go by my mermaid name as well, Aqua). I am currently lifeguard certifed, as well as first aid, CPR, AED, and scuba certified. I am also working on getting my mermaid certifcation as well. Swimming is such a vital life skill for children, and is important for every child to know how to do. I have a huge passion for being in the water and swimming! I have been a water baby my whole life, and have been swimming for as long as I can remember. I have my own curriculum and set of games and lessons to teach your child and am confident we will have lots of fun time in the pool. One thing unique about my services is that I offer mermaid swimming instruction as well as typical swimming instruction as well. I love motivating kids and always bring fun presents and prizes when they level up! I have flotation and swimming lesson tools as well as will incorporate them into my lessons in some capacity as some are important for building form and others are just fun things such as dive toys. If you end up wanting to do a mermaid class, I can order a tail for your child or you can rent one of my mine. I have been practicing social distancing, and have a face shield that I wear in the pool while teaching!

Teaching my family members years ago how to swim!

Former swim instructor for Big Blue swim school, scuba certified, and lifeguard certified.

About the lesson

I want to get them comfortable with me first thing! If that means sitting on the side of the pool and talking with our feet in, or jumping right in and swimming, I want to make sure they feel safe before we start anything! From there I will do an evaluation of level 1 and move up quickly if we need to, or start right at level 1 if need be.

Typically ages 6 months - 12 years old
