About Rachel
I have been teaching swim lessons for around 5-6 years, and I've worked with people with every skill level, from beginners to competitive swimmers.
I myself have been a competitive swimmer since I was 9 years old, and I've competed at the college level and national level.
I love helping people develop their love for the water. I believe comfort in the water is very important and I love to help people become strong confident swimmers
I got started teaching swim lessons through my high school varsity swim team. We taught lessons to younger kids in the community.
I am BLS and ACLS certified.
I have 5 years experience as a lifeguard.
I have 5+ years experience of working swim lessons

I assess their level of skill level and comfort in the water. Start off slow, and let them "test out" or check off skills that they already know how to do.
I'll talk to them about what their goals are and where they want to be at the end of their lessons.
We'll start the lessons from the last skill that they checked off, and set a goal for them to reach end of each session.
I have worked with students from all age groups, and all skill levels. I also have experience working with children with physical and intellectual disabilities
