About Joshua

I am a College student attending Sam Houston State University for a BS in Physics

I swam professionally for over 13 years, and have coached all ages from 3 - 80yrs

I have been coaching for over 4 years with all levels of swimmers (Beginner - Advanced)

I taught at the YMCA, and several summer league and USA teams around Texas. I am currently a coach for the Huntsville Nadadores and Huntsville Lakers.

There is never an age where you are "too late to learn to swim." Whether you are afraid of the water, and want to conquer your fear, want to learn for exercise, or simply for personal reasons. Swimming is a life skill that everyone should have.

I love to break swimming down for all ages to understand, but can provide feedback in terms of physics and technical body mechanics for the more educated.

I teach at the Local Huntsville City Pool off of Avenue N

My rates are

$25 / 30 minutes (Private / 1 swimmer)

$40 / 30 minutes (Semi-Private/2 swimmers)

(I normally stay longer, 30 minutes is a guarantee per lesson, and I do not charge for extra time I decide to spend with the student)

I also can do underwater video analysis of swims that I edit and send to you at no extra charge

Swimming is my passion, and it is frequent that I will lose track of time when teaching!

I look forward to working with you! Again, it's never too late to learn!

(concealed information)

I started teaching after starting college, and was not able to continue seimming because the college did not have a collegiate team.

Heartbroken, I decided to stay with the sport and become a qualified swim coach.

I am a NWAL and USA certified swim coach. I am CPR and First-Aid certified, and have been coaching professional swimming for over 4 years.

About the lesson

I spend the first lesson getting to know the swimmers capability in the water, as well as learning style and put together a plan of action for helping the student reach his/her personal goals.

I have worked with all ages

3 years - 80 years

Currently the kids I teach range from 4 years - 17 years of age.

I recommend at least 1-2 lessons per week for optimal results. Especially the younger of age, the more likely a child would forget about what they learned from previous lessons

A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
Ask yourself these questions:

What do I want to achieve?

How dedicated can I be?
