About Gretchen

Offering private, one-on-one horseback riding lessons at my facility or yours.

Private swim lessons are also available during the summer season.

I love teaching! All ages, all levels. I have a very clear and energetic way of explaining instruction so that lessons are fun and educational. My hobbies are a passion and I love to share that.

Immersed myself in all sorts of sports and activities from a very young age. Had the good fortune of moving to many different states and exposing myself to as many riding facilities and swim clubs as possible. I shadowed many top level trainers and worked hard to be under their tutelage. It provided many wonderful experiences with a wealth of knowledge under my belt.

Horses: I have over 25 years experience working with, handling, showing, training, and competing in both English and western disciplines. I focus on proper horsemanship and equitation - teaching everything from the ground up, including proper and safe handling, tacking, grooming, and riding.

Swimming: I am a former top-level competitor who has an extensive swim history with many records established. Focused on coaching, lessons, and lifeguarding for approximately 8 years. Whether teaching littles how to get started or working with the seasoned competitor, I have the background and training experience required.

About the lesson

On an individual, private basis. I offer both swimming lessons and horseback riding lessons at my property for both kids and adults. I take the lesson at the pace, comfort, and current ability of the student to ensure they learn correct and safe techniques.

All ages, levels, and stages!

Be sure to ask as many questions as possible to get a good understanding of the instructors personality, expertise, and capabilities. I welcome students to sit in to watch a lesson and meet me directly, to ensure it's a good fit for all.
