About James
I have taught the entire range of swimming skills for over 11 years, & have extensive experience working with & tailoring lesson plans to children as young as 16mo's & adults as old as 80 yrs. I also teach large group classes & "mommy/daddy & me" classes. I provide nearly all required equipment & toys, & create highly personalized rewards programs upon request.
I have held multiple other teaching positions simultaneously to this, including tutoring in Writing, History, French and Math.
First & foremost, I thoroughly enjoy teaching: making the complicated easy & intuitive is a fascinating challenge. I also love helping people to progress & succeed, given how much hope it gives them. Swimming is a great combination of life-skills, sport, recreation & creativity, & I love showing all of its facets to my students!
