About Meredith
I am a master's degree educated health and clinical research professional who was raised by parents who were both teachers. I have experience as a substitute teacher and private tutor as well as previously working as an instructor with Revolution Prep (college admissions test preparation). I have a passion for mathematics and also do love teaching.

As a math tutor, I work with the methods that the student is learning in school to not create confusion for the student. I generally review recent and current homework assignments, as well as review recent tests, to see where there are consistencies and opportunities for improvement. I can also provide some tools of my own if it is appropriate for the student. I really enjoy working with a student over a consistent period to allow me to understand their learning style, so that we can improve the tutoring process over time. I also refer back to previous wins and bring that learning process back into our tutoring sessions. I am very patient and committed to achieving goals as a team. I like the student to feel like the tutoring sessions are a safe space to voice concerns about what they don't understand, and to also share what does work for them so we can bring those moments into the process. My tutoring is focused on elementary, middle, and high school math, including ACT/SAT preparation.
