About Gareth

Growing up in Hong Kong, I am no stranger to tutoring sessions, and I understand the frustration and uneasiness of having a stranger teaching you things you do not understand. So I aim to be not only a tutor but a friend children can trust and open up to. Because I believe it is essential to build a trusting relationship when it comes to education. With trust, my words will appeal to be more convincing and comprehensive so that children will listen to me attentively and willingly. I am energetic, enthusiastic, a fast learner, and a team player. But, more importantly, I am very friendly and patient toward children. I know when to give children space and time to think whenever they are frustrated and how to comfort and console them with words of encouragement and a positive attitude. In addition, I understand how to motivate students to learn by creating games that stimulate thoughts and reward them with treats because I believe in positive reinforcement, not punishment.

About the lesson

I have been a superprof tutor for two years! I have tailor-made different syllabus for students with various studying habits and needs. I can help your children catch up to their classes or subjects they are struggling with or get ahead of their classmates with the more advanced Singaporean math materials.
