About Casey

I am currently the director of tennis and head pro at The Eureka Indoor Tennis Club. I have also worked at McCarren Tennis Center, Bumblebee Tennis, and Super Star Tennis as staff pros in New York City and Brooklyn. I always want students to be challenged while working with me so they don’t get bored or feel like they’re too good for the material being taught but I also incorporate fun and laughter into our time together so it’s doesn’t feel like a boot camp setting (unless you’re looking for that).

Sharing my knowledge of tennis with others is my greatest joy. I’m a die hard fan of the sport, whether I’m watching it, teaching it, or playing it, it’s what I want to do. I travel with my racquets around the world always looking for new opportunities. It’s a huge thrill for me when a student of mine can see and feel their progression.

I started playing tennis at a very young age. So I’ve always had love for it since the time I started. I wanted to share my passion with others and help grow the wonderful game so right out of highschool I started teaching. It was more part time throughout college and then once I graduated, I continued with it more full time and haven’t stopped since.

I’ve been teaching tennis for 10+ years and I was certified by the USPTA as a professional in 2011. For the past 5 years I’ve been head pro at an indoor/outdoor tennis club in Northern California where I taught a wide range of students in private/semi private/ group lessons, and adult/junior clinics and classes.

About the lesson

I like to ask the student or students about their tennis backgrounds and then goals they have. Whether it’s just to have fun and get exercise or if it’s to become a high quality player I enjoy every answer. I then feed a few balls to do a quick assessment of each student and go from there. Everyone learns differently and I’m well aware of that and adapt accordingly.

Casey knows so much about tennis and transfers that information in such a way that you can integrate it into your tennis strokes/serve/game. His personality is always upbeat and positive, not to mention includes a great sense of humor. My game improved so much over the past three years I played with him and I will forever be greatful for his skill and knowledge. One can NOT go wrong choosing him for a tennis pro. I only wish he were still here to be my pro. Thanks Casey!

Casey has a sense of humor but also has a serious side that helps students focus while relaxed. The instruction itself he knows what he is doing. One of his students - Lily -was just asked to be on a team of 4 girls representing Northern California playing against SoCal, Intermountain, Pacific Northwest, and Hawaii. When Casey speaks in his low voice friends, students, and people who do not know him listen to him. He has a command presence when rarely needed but is one of the easiest people to be around that I have ever come across in my 76 years. There is no guile in him - who you meet is who he is and thus has your best interest in mind.
