About Jesse
I specialize in helping junior and adult players of all levels build strong fundamentals, improve skills, and develop confidence in a structured training environment.
I’m the founder of Gotlib School of Tennis, an all year-round program based in Dartmouth, MA, designed to guide players from beginner development to confident match play.
Our Saturday training program is the core of our system and includes both junior and adult players, with grouped sessions focused on skill development, consistency, and live-ball match play.
Sessions are structured with clear progressions so players can build confidence, improve decision-making, and apply skills in real game situations.
I also run seasonal camps, team programs, and youth training through Dartmouth Parks & Recreation, giving players additional opportunities to develop year-round.
New players are welcome to try a free session in the Saturday program to experience the training environment before joining.
I am a USPTA certified tennis professional, played college tennis and captained two years from playing high school baseball, and I'm an ambassador for Spec Tennis.

If you are a new student the first step is a 15-20 minute phone call to see if you and I are a right fit. If it is a right fit and you are interetsed in improving your tennis, then we will move forward from there. I'm sure I have a program that will suit your tennis needs and if your a complete beginner I use the new and exciting sport of Spec Tennis to help with the learning curve. It is the vehicle to tennis success!!!
Reviews:
"Gotlib has been an amazing coach for me for the past 4 years. He’s taught me a lot and propelled my game to where it is now. I wouldn’t have been able to play varsity tennis for all 3 years I played during high school with out him. I highly recommend Gotlib tennis to anyone, no matter what your skill level is, if you want to become a better tennis player and athlete." ~Matt
Without a doubt Jesse is one of the best coaches/teachers that has worked with our family. This summer Jesse taught both of our boys (ages 4 and 6). He was able to ensure that both kids had fun and made progress with their tennis. I was very impressed with Jesse's ability to adjust to drills to each of the two kid's different abilities and his ability to add humor and focus when each was needed. Thank you Jesse!! ~Rachel
Jesse is a great tennis instructor. Many of the tips he gives me are very helpful in getting better as a tennis player and when playing in matches. Usually after every lesson he makes a video of what I learned in the lesson which you can watch whenever you need additional practice. Overall, Gotlib Tennis is an awesome way to help you become a better tennis player. ~Paul
"Mr. Gotlib is a great guy! He is always pushing me to be better and stronger than the day before. He helps elevate my tennis skills more than any other coach I have had. Would definitely recommend doing his class." ~Coby
"Jesse is an excellent tennis coach to our daughter Sophie. He challenges her on the court during her lesson with real time competitive play. He instills in her how important it is to do your best, and win and lose with grace and compassion. He has taken the extra step by providing her with an off court tennis conditioning program specifically tailored to her needs that have helped her out tremendously and really elevated her level of play on the court." ~Stephen
"Amazing program! Gotlib tennis really helped me harness my tennis techniques and skills! His classes are the perfect blend of conditioning and tennis lessons in order to prepare his students for games! I’m still working on my serve, but with hard work and guidance from Coach Jesse, I know I’ll be successful this summer at my matches!" ~Mira
"Gotlib tennis has really helped me improve as a tennis player and inspired me to work harder to achieve my tennis goals mentally and physically. Definitely recommend to any tennis player who wants to improve their tennis game!" ~ Ian
"Coach Gotlib was my son's coach last season at Fairhaven High School. From the beginning I was impressed with his teaching skills and the way he interacted with the players. My son is now doing a one on one lesson with him and I continued to be impressed. He has a positive way about him and is very spot on with his teaching skills. I really feel he zeros in on what each player needs to work on to improve their game!" ~Mariann
"After spending this past summer working with Jesse at Sippican Tennis Club in Marion, I got to know him very well. Everyday I saw Jesse come in with a smile on his face and tons of positive energy. He is a fun person to be around and he made things very enjoyable at Sippican. I was able to work alongside him for many junior clinics and activities. He always seemed to come up with the perfect drills for tennis instruction while keeping the kids engaged- a task that is certainly not easy. As a tennis player myself and as someone who hopes to be a tennis instructor someday, I learned so much from Jesse. He was always offering tips to help me improve my game. I also learned so much from him about coaching, just by watching. I've been lucky enough to get to know Jesse and learn from him. I strongly endorse his abilities as a certified tennis instructor and I would recommend him to anybody looking for a tennis lesson." ~Evan
A great coach for juniors who helps his students see the bigger picture than just one match, one tournament!" ~ Ed
