About Greg
I have multiple years of experience giving private lessons as well as group lessons to various ages and skill levels. I have worked at country clubs, assited other coaches in running group clinics, and given private lessons throughout my collegiate career. I played division 3 tennis at DePauw University for four years, served as captain and played #1 singles and #1 doubles my junior and senior year. My friendly and inviting personality will help you achieve your goals, whether that be learning the sport of tennis, enhancing certain skills, getting a good workout, or just having plain old fun! I look forward to working with you!
To put it simply, I love the sport of tennis. I have had successes and failures in finding the right instructor throughout my competitive career, and I have identified for myself what fundamental characteristics any good instructor should have.
I have a deep passion for tennis, and my coach in Lake Forest, IL asked me to be an assistant while I was home for the summer in college.
I have worked at The Lake Forest Club in Lake Forest, IL for the summer of 2017 as an assitant tennis instructor, giving private lessons and running or assisting with group clinics for both kids and adults. While at DePauw, I gave private lessons and assisted my coach with group clinics for kids ages 6-16 for the local community in the off season.

I will spend a few minutes getting to know my student and allow them to get to know me. I will ask them about their specific goals and alter the lesson in accordance with those goals.
I have worked with kids aging anywhere from 4-16, as well as adults, mostly beginner and intermediate levels.
I would advise a student to find an instructor who will maximize their ability in help them achieve their goals, and find an instructor who can adapt to the students' style of learning.
My 5.0 USTA league team just won the Indianapolis division this summer!
A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
A student should identify the purpose of getting lessons and then ask themselves the following questions:
What specific goals do I have? Is there a specifc skill I would like to enhance?
What is most important for me in getting lessons?
