About Joel-Ross
I've been playing tennis at a competitive level for over 10 years. My competition days are behind me, but I love engaging with players who are still seeking to be better.
Ive developed an eye for the small parts of a players game that separate the good from the great, while finding creative drills to address strengths and weaknesses from beginner to advanced.
I thoroughly enjoy working with players to be better on and off the court. Tennis is a mental game first and foremost. A good player develops a strong mind on and off the court, and I love being a part of that process.
I represented my country as a junior player and was ranked in the top 20 u16. Was offered a D1 scholarship for Penn State but decided to pursue a degree on law and economics instead back in South Africa.
I've reach a top 20 level within my country and represented my province as a junior.
For the past year I coached a beginner to being the only one on her team to win her state final match and go undefeated throughout her first school year playing.
I play regularly with USTR 7+ juniors and help tweak their game during our match play clinics.
