About KEN

From Beginner through Experienced player, helping people improve their stroke technique, shot selection and court positioning so they can prevent injuries and enjoy their tennis time.

Getting together with people and knowing that I've helped them work toward their goals and increase their enjoyment on the court.

Began working in a tennis club while in college. The 2 pros at this facility were outstanding players ( with Davis Cup experience) who became good friends and mentors.

- 30 years as Director of Tennis

- Nationally ranked player

- Former Maryland USPTA Pro of the Year

Discuss what they expect to improve, assess their current skill set and then develop a plan to work toward their goals.

In 30 years at the club where I directed the program I was fortunate enough to work with every type player from absolute beginners to juniors who became Division 1 college players. As with most clubs, the main body of players are 3.0 to 4.0 players and the adults play mostly doubles while the juniors play more singles.

Most pros are nice and went into teaching because they like people so chances are good you will like them. Try to assess how much experience/ skill they have.

The National Husband- Wife Grass Court champioships held at Mission Hills CC in the Palm Springs area. Steve and Abby Solomon ( son Ken Solomon is CEO of Tennis Channel) ran the best tournament on the calender. 4 seperate age groups, full consolation draws, a luncheon and a dinner dance all in a most beautiful venue. Can't thank them enough for all they did each year to make this event outstanding.

A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
How much time do you average on court weekly?

Is any of that time devoted to practice or is it mainly playing?
