About Bob

My experience of teaching and coaching tennis at all levels from beginner to national ranked player spans over 40 years. I also have coached teams at the college and interscholastic levels. My adult life has been devoted to teaching this game so others may enjoy the bounties it offers. I believe everyone can learn and gain some satisfaction from this game called tennis.

A majority of my teaching has been in the Bay Area and mainly in the East Bay. I teach at three different sites bewteen Berkeley and Oakland.

One of the most satisfying perks of my job is seeing a student glow with delight as they experience learning something new. That moment when a player makes the discovery how to finely hit the stroke the corect way. With everything flowing smoothly and effortlessy.

Another is being always open learning something new as a teacher. We teach but we are also students of the game.

As a teacher/student this qoute best exemplifies my teaching:
