About Darohl

I have been coaching and playing tennis for many years with some great results. I have been playing since I was 5, and coaching for the last 15 years or so, both junior high and high school. I have helped some high school players land positions in college tennis also.

I really like to see improvement with each lesson in the players I instruct. I am an avid tennis fan and love to teach to create an exciting, technically correct player.

Wanting to teach anyone who is willing to learn. Approaching retirement from teaching, and wanting to remain active through tennis coaching.

Coaching in and of itself is training. I subscribe to several online tennis coaching services, have coached high school age players for the last 6 years, been to numerous workshops and clinics, and continue to add to my tennis knowledge every day.

About the lesson

Meeting them, talking with them, understanding where they're coming from, and where they really want to go with their tennis interest. Then, I will tailor-make a plan to help them reach their desired level.

Ages 12-18 mostly

Be yourself, be honest. Answer questions truthfully, and believe in the person trying to help you.

Having a few of my players rise to the top of their school district's tennis clientele.

A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
What do I really want in this tennis arena?

Why do I enjoy tennis?

How much time can I devote to practice, lessons, etc.

Am I willing to trust someone with my tennis path?

I am not in this to get rich, I am wanting to help people enjoy the world of tennis. There is no real standard. I know some coaches who charge up to 50-65 dollars an hour. I don't think I would do that.
