I always start with a 10-15 minute assesment to see what level my new student is. After I assess then I spend time fixing all the technical errors in their game. I lastly finish up with strategy and play targeted to the specific shot we worked on.
I have worked with every level and every age.
Find someone who is qualified with a great knowledge of the game and also playing experience. I think its great to be able to have both aspects as a coach; to develop technically able to spar as well.
A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
When I was a junior player I always knew what my flaws were but before I told my teachers I really enjoyed seeing what they thought was wrong with my game and when it matched up before telling them then I knew it was a good fit.
