About Seon

I’m originally from Salvador, Brazil, but have lived in New York city for the past 3 years. I moved to the US to attend college at Yale University, after teaching myself English and getting intrigued by the liberal arts education. After I graduated from Yale, I joined the management consulting firm Bain & Company as an Associate Consultant, and took a fast promotion path until landing at Manager, Product Management for NPS Prism Data Platforms. During all this time, I never got away from teaching, and tutored many students in multiple topics: Physics, Math, Python, college application, English, and finally professionally. Tutoring is almost a hobby for me, and you will see that the best part is how much fun and meaningful connections you can take out of it.

About the lesson

I have good experience in standardized tests, achieving the 96th percentile in the GMAT and 91th in the GRE. I also have a history of successful academic applications, getting admitted to schools like Yale, Columbia, UChicago, Cornell, Middlebury College etc. in addition to my test and application skills, I also have extensive experience in teaching:I served as tutor during university and also tutored English for ESL students at Ringle. My method focused on how to be a better test taker and essay writer versus diving into academic topics: standardized tests and application essays are not about being right but rather answering what universities want to hear! I work with students at the verge of a big change: college application and graduate school application.
