Hi my name is Gerry and I've been an Insurance Professional for over 40 years. I have worked in several different roles including Underwriter, Sales Agent, Sales Leader and Sales Education Director. As an Insurance Training Director for a major insurance company, I was responsible for all sales training in the New York Metro market, including pre-licensing. I also owned multiple insurance agencies and was constantly training and developing staff members, which also included prepping and tutoring team members for the state licensing exams in property & casualty and life & health. The success of my agency depended on my ability to get my staff licensed and be able to put it to productive use as quickly as possible. So, I developed a tutoring system that focused on homing in on areas of opportunity and a test taking system that significantly improved a student’s odds of correctly answering the most difficult questions.

My teaching style is supportive & collaborative as it depends on student interaction to produce the best possible experience and outcomes. It is also very structured in that my lesson plans are custom designed for each student and they create a clearly defined study path to passing the licensing exam(s).

I am currently an active NYDFS certified pre-licensing & continuing education instructor and have trained hundreds of insurance professionals in product, sales & licensing prep. I can teach in groups, one to one, and I am very comfortable training via Zoom.

My personal mission is to help new or returning insurance professionals get the opportunity to start a highly rewarding career, and licensing is the first step in that journey.
