About Kalina
I am a Vassar College graduate with a Bachelor's degree in Biochemistry and 5 years of tutoring experience. I have worked with 150+ students in AP Biology and Chemistry as well as general/organic chemistry, general/upper-level biology, and biochemistry at the college level. I have tutored students through everything from a single homework session to a full point GPA jump over several semesters! I also work with students on test-taking strategies, study plans and time management, and even internship and career advising.
My format typically includes using students' assignments and course materials to get an understanding of content expectations and working through homework and practice materials together. Still, every student learns differently, and I like to incorporate supplementary resources and strategies to offer new perspectives on the content!
Test Prep: I am a 98th percentile MCAT scorer. I self-studied using free content resources and UWorld question bank, so I understand the MCAT Prep journey and am experienced in guiding students through it.
