Fun fact: I once ran a mile in 4:20 exactly. Hi, I'm Max, and I love working with students! The most rewarding part of tutoring for me is when a new concept “clicks” with a student - their excitement is contagious, and it’s a privilege to be able to help them reach that point! More about me: I am an enthusiastic and outdoorsy type of person in my personal life, and that enthusiasm shows through in my teaching!
I partner with students on a one-on-one basis in the SAT and ACT through SoFlo Tutors, my tutoring agency. I scored in the top percentile on both exams, graduated from Willamette University, and have been tutoring with SoFlo for 3 years. Our methodology is analysis, strategy, and practice, which looks as follows. Your student will take a free diagnostic test so that we can identify their needs. Together, we then create a plan to address those needs. Finally, we will practice using real exams and test questions to prepare them to take the official test.
