About Steve
I've been teaching in the Triangle for over 15 years. Originally from Louisiana, I've been a professional musician nearly my entire life. My lessons are not "cookie-cutter," but rather tailored to the student's individual needs and goals. Whether beginner, intermediate, or pro, the lessons have as much laughter as serious work. We have FUN!
I'm blessed to be doing what i love. I make and produce music for a living. Currently, I have a couple of my own Raleigh-based bands, do a lot of freelance playing, and also manage some incredible artists. I teach . . . because I love it. I keep a small number of students, just for the satisfaction of helping people achieve their musical goals.
I was a trumpet performance major in college, then toured internationally for many years as a trumpeter. Now, based in the Triangle as both a performing musician and in artist management.
