About Kathy

I have a Masters degree in music education from the University of Nebraska and I played viola in the Omaha symphony for 30 years. I have taught orchestra in public schools and private lessons for 15 years. Many of my students are in honors orchestras and play in their school orchestra as leaders of their section. I enjoy seeing them progress and succeed in playing their instrument well.

I enjoy watching my students progress and excel.

I have taken violin and viola lessons for a long time. I always thought I would be good as a teacher since I can draw on my experience.

I have a Masters degree in music education.

About the lesson

I start at the beginning with a level 1 book or if they are experienced, I start from where they can play.
