About Abel
I'm a senior music education major with experience tutoring other college students and teaching in area schools. I have experience editing and proof-reading essays, and can help with citations, rewording, and ideas for more content if your essay needs to be longer.
I have taught general music and music theory lessons to elementary and high school students, and tutored college students in music theory. I play euphonium, tuba, and trombone and can offer private lessons on those instruments.
I've also taken courses on teaching ELs (English Learners), or students learning English as a foreign language, and am conversational in Japanese and can assist with beginning Japanese language studies.
I enjoy teaching and tutoring because it's a fulfilling experience to assist others with learning and inspire them to continue to learn more.
Being a student and learning in general should not feel like a chore, and should not be anxiety inducing. My goal is to teach in a positive, uplifting way where students stay engaged and are allowed to make mistakes and ask questions.
