Lessons can be online via Zoom or FaceTime. In person lessons will be in Solvang CA.

Attended Curtis Institute of Music in Philadelphia from age of 16. Graduated 1983

Attended Juilliard School of Music in New York from age of 13 in the Pre-College program then later as a Graduate Student.

Studied with Fredell Lack at University of Houston.

Studied with Ivan Galamian, Dorothy DeLay, Felix Galimir, David Cerone, Josef Gingold.

About the lesson

First listen and see habits and techniques. Begin by teaching practice methods, scales and building blocks to playing well. Work on pieces weekly.

I utilize the methods I learned from my teachers.

I work with more advanced students who are seeking to play well and want to pursue entrance to music schools or are in music schools currently. I have helped many students with their audition preparation for Curtis, Juilliard and other major schools.

I work with serious students who will practice daily.

If you are willing to practice 3+ hours per day you will improve. Find someone who will encourage you and help you find ways to fix problems with your playing. Slow and steady wins the race.
