When working with a new athlete, I would like to first have a conversation about the athlete's goals and purpose for seeking out private lessons. I would like to get an understanding of the commitment of the athlete and what the timeline is for success. This conversation with the athlete (and possibly parents, too) would help me set up an individualized plan for the athlete.
