About Paul
I have a Masters Degree in engineering specializing in computer simulation. I was a New Products Engineer for a paper mill and Director of Research for a mill cooperative team. I later taught middle and high school math. I have tutored for over ten years both on my own and for various companies. I started as a tutor for ACT/SAT math and to keep abreast of current test questions I took each test several times getting perfect scores in the math sections. I expanded into tutoring all math subjects.

I have started writing a book in my spare time called "Why Do We Teach Math Wrong?" My approach is to stress understanding rather than formulae. My strength is restating math facts differently to create fundamental understanding, allowing students to know WHY they are doing something rather than just performing rote memorization.
I have been a tutor for several companies for over a decade and can work with students at any level. My primary areas have been college placement tutoring, geometry, algebra, and trigonometry, but I have worked with students from elementary age to adults.
