About Emily
I started working as a tutor while I was in undergrad, and when I got to grad school I began teaching and tutoring professionally and really fell in love with it. As someone who spent a lot of time in school, I understand the importance of having someone who is patient and knowledgable on the subject matter and is willing to provide varying techniques for learning a topic. I often struggled with the lack of variation provided by my teachers and professors, so I do my best to try and think "out of the box" when it comes to my lessons. Not everyone's brain works the same, but with the proper support and techniques, any subject can be mastered.

I provide a dynamic approach to all lessons and subject matters. It's best to be presented with multiple methods for learning a subject, and then once we decide which method resonates the most, we can concentrate on repetition and study techniques to ensure that the material is mastered.
I've worked as a math teacher in both the middle school and high school settings and have provided tutoring at the elementary school and collegiate levels.
