About Jacob

I have been tutoring on and off for nearly 10 years - through my time as a tutor I have learnt there are many types of students and many problems faced by all difference people in all different walks of life.

This lets me face tutoring as a problem solver - theres no issue a child faces that I believe I cannot help them work around, whether thats confidence, or skills.

I have taken my own experience from education and life to build an outlook that lets me easily connect with kids and students, and use that to help them learn in the ways that suits them best.

Maths & Science Tutoring — Helping Students Build Confidence, Not Just Get Through the Work

Does your child "know more than they think they do?"

Sometimes the biggest barrier to progress in Maths or Science isn't ability — it's confidence.

I offer personalised tutoring for Years 7–13, helping students develop their skills, understand challenging topics and, most importantly, become more confident in their own abilities.

What makes my tutoring different?

I don't believe every child should be taught in exactly the same way. Every student learns differently, so I adapt my teaching to how they learn best, rather than expecting them to fit a rigid teaching method.

I also believe parents are an important part of the process. By working together, we can understand your child's individual needs, identify areas for development and celebrate the progress they make.

I have good teaching experience, including SEND experience, and aim to create a supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes and trying again.

One of my current students recently completed her Year 6 SATs after previously being placed in her school's maths crisis group. Her highest scores were in Maths — a fantastic achievement and one she should be incredibly proud of!

*Tutoring available:
• Years 7–9: *£20 per session
• Years 10–13: *£25 per session
• Mainly weekday after-school sessions
