About Jennifer

I began practicing Yoga in 2008 and developed a love of it almost immediately, once I got past the preconceived idea that I had to be flexible and strong to even start. I pursued Yoga teacher training after a few years of practicing as I wanted to share the amazing benefits I was receiving from my personal practice. I graduated as an RYT-200 from St. Petersburg Yoga in 2015 and I am registered with Yoga Alliance. I am also a licensed Occupational Therapist. I incorporate my knowledge of anatomy, physiology and functional body mechanics as well mind/body holistic health concepts into my yoga classes. My teaching style is gentle/restorative, Hatha/alignment based, and slow mindful Yoga. My yoga classes are well rounded and always focus on the breath as a guide to movement and include meditation and dharma talks.

Sharing the joy of Yoga. Guiding others in discovering their authentic selves, peace and strength through the practice.

I saw the mind/body benefits of my own personal Yoga practice and felt a calling to share it with others.

Certified Yoga teacher through St. Petersburg Yoga and Registered RYT-200 with Yoga Alliance. Certificate in Children's Yoga through Radiant Child Yoga. Training in slow, mindful yoga and studies in the Feldenkrais method/Somatic movement in Yoga. I am also an Occupational Therapist with collegiate studies in Anatomy/physiology, psychology and movement science.

About the lesson

I provide lots of posture variations/props and alignment cueing to make poses accessible and appropriate for all levels.

From ages 2 years to seniors.

Passion for their own practice

Good communication skills and provides cues that are necessary and helpful but allows quiet space for the student to integrate and have their own experience in the practice.

Someone who can listen rather than talk all the time.

Someone who continues to be a student themselves and continues to practice with other teachers, who attends workshops/trainings that build on their area of expertise.

Virtual classes online or in public spaces (ex. park, beach) - $10 drop in; $40 (5 class pass);

Childrens' Yoga classes - $40/hour

Senior chair yoga (SNF, ALF settings, Senior day care) - $50

Private session: (1 hour - $50; 30 minutes - $30)

Special private small group events - $50/hour
